Chat and messages
Nearby, area, office-wide and private chats, mentions, images and reactions.
Where your message goes
Open chat with the speech-bubble button at the bottom right. Pick who you're talking to:
- Nearby — people close to you right now.
- Private area — only people in the same area as you.
- Office — everyone in the space.
- Direct messages — one person; click New message or use Message on someone's card.
Writing messages
- Type @ to mention someone — they get a notification even if they're busy elsewhere.
- Share an image with the image button.
- Hover a message to react with an emoji, copy it, or edit your own.
Never miss a message
- The chat button shows a red count of unread messages (9+ when there are many).
- New messages pop up as cards at the top right with a Reply button.
- Turn on desktop notifications in Settings to hear about messages while you're in another tab.
