Emotes float above your character for everyone to see. Use the smiley button at the bottom, or press a number key:

Raising your hand
Press H or the ✋ button to raise your hand — a yellow frame goes around your video and you join the Raised hands queue in the Participants list, in the order people raised them. Press H again to lower it.
Great for bigger meetings: the speaker can see who's next without anyone talking over each other.
